Junior High Ministry Job Description

New Vision Church of Northern California, located in Milpitas, is seeking a full-time/part time Junior High ministry pastor ( Grade 6-8) who is passionate about God and His people. The candidate must have prior ministry experience, working in a Korean-American church context.

We are looking for someone who can lead a ministry of over 120 Junior High students with staff members, volunteer teachers, helpers, and parents.

Qualification:

- Evidence of genuine passion and commitment for ministry

- Experience and understanding of the dynamics of the Korean-American culture

- At least 2 years of Junior High ministry experience

- Fluent in English, bi-lingual (Korean/English) preferred though not necessary

- Must have completed regular education from an accredited seminary

Ministry Responsibilities:

A. Administration

• Develop vision for Junior High Ministry aligning with church’s vision and core values.

• Develop, coordinate, direct, and evaluate all Junior High programs for 6-8th grades.

• Responsible for all Ministry budget planning and expenditure.

B. Ministry Staff, Recruitment, Training and Teaching

• Oversee and train ministry teams and volunteers.

• Coordinate weekly curriculum planning

• Evaluate various Ministry programs to measure effectiveness.

• Work with Junior High parents and staff members

C. Pastoral Relations

- Report to Senior Pastor

• Be a member of the Pastoral Team, a representative for Junior High Ministry and a liaison to parents.

D. Implement the following Ministry Programs

• Sunday Worship Services and Classes

• Retreat, VBS in the summer and Mission Trips

• Special programs including Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter and other planned church programs

Children's Ministry Job Description

New Vision Church of Northern California, located in Milpitas, is seeking a full-time children's ministry pastor (infants to grades 1~5) who is passionate about God and His people. The candidate must have prior ministry experience, working in a Korean-American church context.

The children’s program on Sunday morning includes nursery/toddlers care and classes for pre-K through 5th grade.

We are looking for someone who can lead a ministry of over 350 children (toddlers – 5th grade) with staff members, volunteer teachers, helpers, and parents.

Qualification:

- Evidence of genuine passion and commitment for ministry

- Experience and understanding of the dynamics of the Korean-American culture

- At least 2 years of children’s ministry experience

- Fluent in English, bi-lingual (Korean/English) preferred though not necessary
